King Street Cinema launches Autumn Lineup

As the nights draw in and the light begins to fade, King Street Cinema invites audiences to embark on a season of discovery, rediscovery and cinematic adventure. This autumn, our screens become a meeting place for bold new voices, rediscovered treasures and enduring classics, celebrating cinema in all its richness and variety.

Among the season’s highlights are a selection of acclaimed contemporary works, including Bitter Christmas, Barrio Triste, Bad Apples, The Incomer, Her Private Hell, The Portuguese House, Winter of the Crow and Digger — films that traverse continents, generations and perspectives, each offering a distinctive vision of the world and the lives that inhabit it.

The season also welcomes When Carolco Ruled, a retrospective dedicated to the studio that defined the scale, ambition and spectacle of popular cinema in the late twentieth century. Presented on the big screen, the series includes a 35th anniversary screening of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, alongside Total Recall, Rambling Rose, Jacob’s Ladder, Basic Instinct, Angel Heart and First Blood — a journey through an era when bold filmmaking and cultural impact went hand in hand.

In partnership with Cinema Rediscovered, we continue our commitment to uncovering neglected cinematic gems. This strand brings rarely screened works back into the spotlight, including African Jim, My Brother’s Wedding, Danger: Diabolik, Modesty Blaise, Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel and Billy Liar, inviting audiences to encounter remarkable films that deserve renewed appreciation.

Together, these screenings form a programme that moves freely between the familiar and the unexpected, the celebrated and the overlooked.
